The Lima Rotary Board of Directors met on May 10. Among the items discussed and decided were the following:
- Concern was expressed about the significant amount of receivables and whether e-billing is the primary cause. Reminders from the podium of the need to look for electronic bills or request a mailed invoice will be made for several weeks.
- For the second year, the Board will recognize notable member accomplishments in each Area of Service at the Changing of the Guard event. There will also be recognition of Rotarians with 40 or more years of membership.
- Large clubs have been asked to support tornado relief efforts in the south by donating $1,000 to the Rotary Foundation Donor Advised Funds. Members will be informed of the request by email and a “pass the bucket” collection taken at the May 23rd meeting.
- Sandy Hofacker, Banking Center Manager, Chase Bank was approved for membership.
- The resignations of Amy Kentner and Stephen CaJacob were accepted with regret.
- The Rotarian will be distributed in digital form effective July, 2011. Members may opt for either the digital or electronic versions. Members desiring both electronic and printed copies will be charged an additional $12/year.
