Here are the highlights from Monday's Rotary Foundation Board Meeting...
Highlights from the Lima Rotary Foundation Meeting on Monday May 5, 2014.
Three new trustees have been elected to the Foundation Board by the club membership. Their terms will begin July 1, 2014 and will expire June 30, 2017. They include: Jonalee Schmidt, Jeff Sprague and Dale Lewellyn.
The Foundation approved payment of the following grants:
Lima Allen County Young Life - $500 to provide scholarships for students to go to summer camp.
High Octane Drum Line - $1,500 sponsorship for supplies, uniforms and instruments for 2014 - 2015.
Greater Allen County Blues society - $500 to purchase a sound system for the youth program.
MESA - $5,000 to aid in collecting medical equipment and supplies, warehousing and shipping them to International Partner Rotary Clubs around the world.
Community Service Academy - $1,000 to support the education needs of children in the community to ensure they do not loose school year learning over the summer.
