Dedicated peacebuilders are eager to work with your club or district to promote peace. Rotary’s Positive Peace Activators are Rotarians, Rotaractors, Rotary Peace Fellows, and community leaders who have learned about the eight Pillars of Positive Peace through the strategic partnership between Rotary and the Institute for Economics and Peace.
Members of this growing network of peacebuilders are available to lead workshops, speak at club and district meetings, consult on community peacebuilding initiatives, and partner on peace and development service projects.

Design your Rotary Experience | People join Rotary to establish meaningful connections, engage in service that makes a real difference, develop their leadership skills, and broaden their perspectives. But how they grow through Rotary and how they experience membership depend on how they choose to participate. Each member has a unique blend of interests, skills, and talents, and each is attracted to different programs and different ways to serve.
To help members customize their Rotary experience and take action in ways that matter to them, we’ve created Designing Your Rotary Experience. This guide is helpful both to new and prospective members who want to learn more about Rotary and to longtime members who are ready for new ways to be involved.

Update your achievements in Rotary Club Central | Now is an ideal time to review goals in Rotary Club Central. This online tool simplifies leadership succession by allowing incoming leaders access to past goals so they can make informed decisions for the future. Clubs will be eligible for the Rotary Citation if they achieve more than half of their goals by 30 June and have paid all their dues on time. Rotaract clubs will soon be able to use Rotary Club Central to set and track their goals, too. (Refer to the email sent to Rotary club leaders in April for more information.) For now, Rotaract club presidents, members of their sponsor clubs, or district leaders can nominate Rotaract clubs for the Rotary Citation.
Important changes to the Rotary Citation | The Rotary Citation will become known as the Club Excellence Award starting in 2024-25. The RI Board approved this change to better convey the award’s purpose as recognition of club excellence. Although the name of the award is changing, the criteria for earning it are not. Also starting next year, Rotaractors will be able to set their goals and report their achievements in Rotary Club Central, and they’ll need to do so by 30 June 2025 to earn the Club Excellence Award. Write to our Awards staff at riawards@rotary.org with any questions.
