Are your children & grandchildren vaccinated?
President Mike called the meeting to order. Sgt. at Arms Kurt Neeper reported that 74 members were in attendance along with 3 guests.Carl Berger did fellowship and shared with the club that he attended Easter Mass and since the sermon was on doing good deeds for others he decided to go with it and not fine anyone today YEA.He also commended Ralph Ellis for the wonderful dinner he puts on for those that can not afford it or have no where to go.President Mike took the floor again and wished Dr.Hubbell a happy 90th Birthday WOW! Jay Begg reported that the Membership committee had a list of potential members and asked for volunteers to contact them in an effort to recruit them to the Lima Rotary.Harold Bishoff then provided members with an update on the Mesa program.In a busy club business day President Mike took the floor again to introduce Joe Pettin, Jim Masson and Tracy Sanchez as our newest members. Congratulations!
Then our featured speaker Kathy Luhn from the Allen Count Health Department took the floor and provided membership with a very interesting and informative discussion on the history and present status of Vaccinations.She discussed the facts and the myths about vaccines.The Lima Rotary was commended for its efforts to eliminate Polio.Finally she reminded us to spread the word not the disease, get vaccinated.
