The Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation is becoming friendlier toward businesses.

Fellowship by Member Ralph Ellis recognized the contributions of the "Back Table" also known as the "Bad Boys Table". Fines got a little loose, but all, we believe, ended up in the right bucket.
A special this month for the rotary foundation is on, from May 10 to 20, so check your account for this year and take advantage to double your points.
Bill Timmermeister recognized another round of scholarship recipients, who receive these scholarships as a result of our golf outing.
Dave Collins introduced Mr. Steve Buehrer, Administrator of the Ohio Bureau of Worker's Compensation. He introduced Jim Wise, Our Regional Business Development Manager. Also, one of our Rotary members, Tracie Sanchez, is a board member of the Ohio BWC. Ohio right now is ninth in job creation, when four years ago Ohio was 47th. All sorts of statistics were shared of the successes of BWC under Governor Kasich's term, with things like rate cuts, refunds, and safety program grants. He also mentioned that 17% of claims continued to be paid out over eight years after an incident--death beneficiaries and severe injuries are included in that statistic. In one case, an injury dates back to the 1940's. Claims management continues to need quality improvement in order to increase recovery and transition rates.
The book given in Mr. Buehrer's name was NO, THATS WRONG!
