Harold Bischoff spoke about the San Salvador 3000 project.The hope is to raise $10,000.00 to help build soccer and baseball diamonds at Mizada school in San Salvador to help curb gang violence.
Carol Buettner provided us with information on the up coming LB Grass Drags to benefit the Sherry Halker Pink Ribbon Warrior Fund. Sounds like a fun day of music, food and drink while watching snow mobiles compete on grass.The date is October 12th in Cridersville. For more information please contact Carol.
Our main speaker was Bob Cook with the Downtown Lima Association promoting the popular Lima Lantern Tours. Bob shared with us a sample of some of the history and some of the paranormal activity reported at some of the old downtown buildings that are explored on the tour. This sounds like a really interesting and fun night provided by the Downtown Association in October. Tour date and times are Friday and Saturday nights on the 4th&5th and 11th&12. You have option of the walking tour that begins at 6;30 pm and the Horse Drawn Tour at 7:30pm.
